Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –
We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, November 13, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- The draft of the 2024 Budget will be presented to the Commissioners at the November Legislative Meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Budget
- The Township Building parking lot reconstruction was scheduled to begin this week (and is now underway.) (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TownshipBuildingParkingLot
- Meeting Location Change: the November Legislative Meeting will be held at the Aleppo Fire Station located at 131 Weber Road. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #MeetingLocationChange
- A proposal for Zoning Services through the QVCOG is in the final stages of review and will be on the agenda for approval at the November Legislative Meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #ZoningServices #QVCOG
- Quaker Valley School District and Monark Bus Company are requesting a School Bus Stop Ahead sign on Duff Road near the intersection with Hill Road. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SchoolBusStopAheadSign
- A contribution of $40,000 from the sewer bond fund to the Aleppo Township Authority is being considered. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SewerBondFund #Authority
- The Commissioners will vote to exercise the first option year of the Police Protection Services Contract with Ohio Township at the November Legislative Meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PoliceProtectionServicesContract

- Quaker Valley Ambulance Authority is holding their annual fund drive and are seeking a contribution from Aleppo Township. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #QuakerValleyAmbulanceAuthority
- The Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company has requested to reopen the contract with Aleppo Township, and they are proposing an annual percentage increase from 2% to 4% per year. They are also seeking a contribution toward a new squad vehicle. The Commissioners will vote on these new contract terms at the November Legislative Meeting. Our next Legislative Meeting will be on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 7:00 PM. **This meeting will be held at the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Station, 131 Weber Road, Sewickley, PA 15143. Please see the Latest News tab on our website for directions to the Fire Station.** If any of these issues are important to you, please feel free to contact me via phone or email prior to the meeting and I will convey your thoughts to the Commissioners. The meetings are open to the public and citizens are invited to attend in person.
