Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –
We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, July 13, 2026, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

The Rhodes Avenue project bid for the final phase will be opened on July 23rd.(Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

A resident on Glenfield Road reached out via email in support of a weight limit on Glenfield Road. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

President Haluka shared updated information regarding the costs and fundraising objectives of the Quaker Valley Ambulance Authority regarding their service K-9. The Board will consider a motion at the Legislative Meeting to donate $1,500 towards the fundraising request. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

A resident of McCoy Place presented a handout to the board regarding concerns with a fireworks display that happens annually in her neighborhood and would like the Board to consider an ordinance regulating fireworks. There was a discussion about the types of regulations a municipality can impose, including that they cannot be banned entirely. Aleppo Resident Feedback Wanted: The Commissioners would like to hear what residents think about this topic. Please reply to this email with your thoughts about a potential fireworks ordinance. The Aleppo Township Communications Policy regarding public comments at meetings (including emails intended to be read at meetings) was explained. The Board will also be reviewing and updating the Township’s meeting broadcast guidelines over the next few months. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
Our next Legislative Meeting will be on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM.
