We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, September 8, 2025, and I want to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

Aleppo is very sad to announce that Commissioner Dan Darragh has passed away. A moment of silence was observed in his memory. Dan first joined the Board of Commissioners in 2016 and was a thoughtful and steady presence on the Board. His guidance and contributions to the Township will be missed. The Commissioners appointed Jed Michael to the Board to complete Commissioner Darragh’s term. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

The 2024 Audit was presented (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

A Resolution to apply for a grant for continued road repairs on Rhodes Avenue was adopted (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

The Board approved the proposal from HRG Engineers for bidding and inspection services for the Rhodes Avenue Repair Project (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

The Township is accepting applications for the part-time position of Township Secretary. More information can be found here. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

A new franchise agreement with Comcast has been negotiated and will be on the October agenda for approval (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

Commissioners approved a contract with Compass Minerals America, Inc. for the purchase of road salt at $88.32 per ton (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

The Board discussed potential off-site meetings and decided to hold the October 20, 2025 Legislative Meeting at Masonic Village. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

Commissioners approved a payment request from the Aleppo Township Authority for the previously agreed-upon contribution of $84,000 in Sewer Bond Account funds for the Deer Run Pump Station Reconfiguration Project (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
