Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, January 17, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • Chief Joseph Hanny of the Ohio Township Police Department gave his monthly report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • The Commissioners heard what the Public Works staff worked on over the past month. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Township Engineer Ben Gilberti explained the technical aspects of the proposed Weight Limit Ordinance. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Engineer Ben Gilberti gave an update on the Rhodes Avenue Geotechnical Study. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • An email from a resident thanking the Public Works crew for snow removal was read during the Communications report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Zoning consultant Laura Ludwig of HRG Engineers presented some highlights of the draft of the new township Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Treasurer Clayton Steup gave his monthly report to the Board. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

  • The Commissioners discussed a request from the Quaker Valley COG to host a semi-permanent Glass Recycling Dumpster at the Township Building. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • The Board approved drafting a short letter requesting that the Quaker Valley School District remain in one legislative district during the PA House Redistricting.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • A complaint about excessive cats at 111 Nancy Drive was discussed. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
