REGISTER FOR EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS
Perhaps the most critical thing you can do as a new resident is register for our Emergency Notification System, which is called CodeRed. CodeRed sends robocalls and text message alerts to residents in an emergency. You must register your telephone number(s) to receive these critical messages in an emergency. This packet contains a letter specifically addressing the Emergency Notification System and sign-up instructions.

WATER AND SEWAGE
By the time you are reading this, you probably have already set up your account with the Aleppo Township Authority, which is the water and sewer service provider for the municipality. If you need to reach them again in the future, you can do so by calling 412-741-7755 or going to their website at aleppoauthority.org.
TRASH AND RECYCLING
Trash pickup in Aleppo Township is on Tuesdays and you should have your trash out by 6:00 a.m. Recycling is every other Tuesday, and it can go in any container that is clearly marked as Recycling. Please refer to the enclosed Waste Management Collection Schedule. If you need a recycling bin, you can either stop by the Municipal Building and purchase one for $20.00 or purchase one on your own and write “RECYCLING” on the bin.
Residents are not directly billed by Waste Management for trash and recycling services. These costs are covered by property taxes.

- If your employer will be withholding local income tax on your behalf, you may need the Aleppo “PSD Code,” which is 711101. If you need more information about taxes, please visit our website or call the Township office.
- Aleppo is served by the Ohio Township Police Department. In an emergency or any situation that requires a police response, dial 911. If you have questions or need to speak to someone in the office, call the Ohio Township Police Department directly at 412-259-8304.
Finally, please participate in your local government. The Board of Commissioner Meetings are on the second and third Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Municipal Building.
