We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, January 9, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • The proposed Ordinance Prohibiting the Feeding of Deer will be on the agenda for approval at the January Legislative Meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Deer #Ordinance

  • The Public Works department was authorized to place an order for a new dump truck, plow, and spreader.  This new truck will replace the Township’s existing 2006 dump truck. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks #DumpTruck

1/3/2022 Reorganization and Workshop Digest

We had an Aleppo Reorganization and Workshop Meeting on Monday night, January 3, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

** This meeting served as both the Reorganization Meeting and the Workshop Meeting – there will not be a Workshop Meeting tonight. **

Here is what happened:

  • The first draft of the revised Zoning Ordinance will be presented at the Legislative Meeting on January 17, 2022. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #ZoningOrdinance
  • The Township received a request for an ordinance restricting parking on roads in high density housing areas. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Ordinance #Parking

Here is what happened:

  • The 2022 Real Estate Tax Rate Ordinance and Budget Ordinance were adopted.  There will be no Real Estate Tax increase in Aleppo for 2022 – the millage rate will stay at 3.5 mills.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Sergeant Beck of the Ohio Township Police Department gave the monthly police report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Tim Scott gave the Public Works report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Commissioner Richert explained the policy regarding reading emails at Township Meetings.  If you would like an email to be read at a meeting, please send the email to Township Manager Gwen Patterson (aleppomgr@aleppotownship.com) and specify in the email that you would like it to be read at the meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Tax Collector/Treasurer Clayton Steup gave the reports for the month of November 2021. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • The Board adopted a Resolution detailing the terms of a voluntary annual contribution to the sewer budget of the Aleppo Township Authority.   (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, November 16, 2020 and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Before the start of the regular Legislative Meeting, the Board held a Conditional Use Hearing to consider amending the approvals for the commercial garages located at 695 Glen Mitchell Road (Louie & Sons).  They also learned about the Trapizona Plan of Lots No. 4 Subdivision Plan submitted for the same property.  To watch the Conditional Use hearing and learn about the new proposed uses for the property, Click here. #ConditionalUseHearing

Here is what happened:

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, November 18, 2019 and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • Ohio Township Police Department Chief Joseph Hanny gave the police report for the month.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police

  • The Commissioners voted to authorize the Solicitor to complete the settlement of the lawsuit filed against the Township by Masonic Village and to authorize the officers of the Township to sign the release documents.   • The Commissioners voted to appoint Judy Haluka to the vacant Commissioner position for the term beginning January 1, 2020.
