Workshop Digest – January 14, 2019

Hi, Neighbors. We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting last week and I wanted to let you know what happened.

Here’s what happened:

  • We discussed our 2019 Goals. We will be voting to adopt the 2019 goals as listed on Monday, so please let us know if you have any thoughts about these goals. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting and click here to see our list of potential goals for 2019.) #Goals
  • We discussed a resolution concerning the potential sale of vacant lot 422-G-351 and heard that we will discuss this further next month. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #PlanningZoning
  • We talked about the road slide on Redgate Road and read the response letter we received from PennDOT. We agreed that we will be in touch with State Rep. Valerie Gaydos for assistance from the state. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #RedgateRoad, #Roads

  • We made a motion to approve the Sewickley Heights Manor Homes Association Lot Consolidation Plan. We will be voting on this on Monday, so please let us know if you have any thoughts on the issue. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #SewickleyHeightsManor
  • We discussed a request from the Fern Hollow Nature Center for the township to again make a donation as a municipal partner. We had some follow-up questions on this issue and did not yet propose any action on the request. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #FernHollowNatureCenter

  • We discussed a representative to serve on the QVCOG Emergency Management Committee. Commissioner Duplaga agreed to serve in this role. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #QVCOG

Our next Legislative meeting will be on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Township Building. If any of these issues are important to you, please feel free to join us and voice your opinion.
