We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, January 16, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- The Ordinance prohibiting the feeding of deer was adopted. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Deer #Ordinance
- Chief Hanny gave the December 2022 police report and announced the upcoming I-79 South ramp closure. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police #RampClosure
- Public Works Supervisor Tim Scott gave the Public Works report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks
- The Tax Collector/Treasurer report was given to the Commissioners. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TaxCollector
- The Quaker Valley COG will host a GIS mapping presentation at the Sewickley Library in February. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #QuakerValleyCOG #GIS
- The Commissioners approved the design and bid agreement with HRG Engineering for the 2023 Paving Project. The bid results will determine the scope of the project, but the goal is to pave Sewickley Ridge Drive, Sewickley Ridge Circle, and Sewickley Ridge Court and to tar and chip multiple roads throughout the Township, including roads in the Weber Road neighborhood, McCoy Place Road, and South McCoy Place Road. Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –
The Aleppo Township Board of Commissioners will be meeting in person tonight in the Township building for their August 17, 2020 Legislative Meeting. However, to ensure proper social distancing, we will be limiting the number of people in the room at one time. Anyone attending the meeting must wear a face mask. We encourage residents to submit their comments in advance of the meeting when possible.

Here is what happened:
- Chief Hanny gave the Police report for the month of December. The discussion included several issues related to the Amazon facility and delivery vans. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police #Amazon

- We discussed the changes to the Recycling procedures by Waste Management (Aleppo’s trash and recycling collector), including that glass and plastic bags are not allowed in recycling bins. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Recycling #WasteManagement
- President Jones explained the proposed plan for Sewickley Borough to close their sewage treatment plant and send all sewage to Leetsdale for treatment. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Sewage

Hi, Neighbors. We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting last week and I wanted to tell you what happened.
It wasn’t a particularly long meeting, but there were a few topics that we discussed that will be up for a vote tomorrow. So please let us know if you have any input on any of these subjects. Here’s what happened:
- We followed up on the conversation we started when our Code Enforcement Officer spoke with us last month (click here to see this portion of the meeting from the February meeting) and did not propose any revisions to the current code enforcement process. - We discussed the draft Social Media Policy and proposed a motion to adopt it. We will be voting on this tomorrow night, so please let us know if you have any thoughts on this topic. - We started a discussion about new street signs in the township, but did not take or propose any action because we do not yet have any information about costs. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #StreetSigns
- We discussed a resident’s request that we hold a town hall meeting to discuss fracking. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #Fracking
- We made a motion to authorize the drafting of an amendment to section 232-2 of our township ordinance to increase the cost for a license to operate a junk dealer or storage lot to $1,500 annually. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #Ordinance
