Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –

We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, November 13, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • The draft of the 2024 Budget will be presented to the Commissioners at the November Legislative Meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Budget
  • The Township Building parking lot reconstruction was scheduled to begin this week (and is now underway.) (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TownshipBuildingParkingLot

  • A proposal for Zoning Services through the QVCOG is in the final stages of review and will be on the agenda for approval at the November Legislative Meeting.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #ZoningServices #QVCOG
  • Quaker Valley School District and Monark Bus Company are requesting a School Bus Stop Ahead sign on Duff Road near the intersection with Hill Road.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SchoolBusStopAheadSign
  • A contribution of $40,000 from the sewer bond fund to the Aleppo Township Authority is being considered.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SewerBondFund #Authority

  • Quaker Valley Ambulance Authority is holding their annual fund drive and are seeking a contribution from Aleppo Township. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #QuakerValleyAmbulanceAuthority
  • The Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company has requested to reopen the contract with Aleppo Township, and they are proposing an annual percentage increase from 2% to 4% per year. They are also seeking a contribution toward a new squad vehicle.  The Commissioners will vote on these new contract terms at the November Legislative Meeting. Our next Legislative Meeting will be on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 7:00 PM. **This meeting will be held at the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Station, 131 Weber Road, Sewickley, PA 15143. Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, October 18, 2021, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • Police Chief Joe Hanny gave the September 2021 police report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police

  • The Aleppo Township Authority is working on a draft feasibility study regarding the potential to provide sewers to the Kilbuck Run area, including the Glenfield Road corridor. 10/21/2019 Legislative Digest & 10/14/2019 Workshop Digest

Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –

This digest contains the updates from both the October Workshop Meeting and the October Legislative Meeting.

Meeting Location Change: the November 11, 2019 Workshop Meeting will be held at the Aleppo Township Fire Station located at 131 Weber Road.  As always, the meeting is open to the public and we welcome your attendance.

Reminder: the Commissioners are still accepting letters of interest from residents to serve on the Board.  (If you recall, Commissioner Michelle Duplaga resigned her seat in September.)  The Board is requesting that letters of interest be submitted by November 11, 2019.  Letters can be mailed to the Township Office at 100 North Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143, emailed to aleppomgr@aleppotownship.com, or hand delivered.

The audio quality from this meeting is somewhat off. (The meeting was held at Masonic Village, and this was our first attempt at filming the meeting off-site.)  The voices are often distorted, and do not sync up exactly with the video, but they are generally understandable.

Here’s what happened:

  • Chief Hanny of the Ohio Township Police Department gave his report and shared information about some recent scam phone calls that have been happening in our area.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #Police
