We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, May 9, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, April 18, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • Ohio Township Police Chief Hanny gave the police report for the month of March. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
  • An email from a resident regarding Citizen Participation procedures was read and addressed during the Communications report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #CitizenParticipation
  • The Tax Collector/Treasurer reports were presented. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TaxCollector

  • The Quaker Valley COG Hard to Recycle Event Hosted by the Pennsylvania Resources Council will return to Quaker Valley High School this year. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).  Updated information: there will be two separate events this year – one for Household Chemicals and one for Hard to Recycle items.  Pre-registration is required for both events – please visit prc.org for information about the allowable items and to register for these collection events.  Links are also available on the Latest News page of the Township website. #QuakerValleyCOG #Recycling

We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, March 14, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • It was announced that the Weight Limit/Road Bonding Ordinance will be on the agenda for adoption at the March Legislative Meeting.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Ordinance
  • The request for parking regulations in Sewickley Heights Manor was discussed, and a Parking Committee was formed and tasked with investigating the current issue further.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SewickleyHeightsManor #Parking

Reorganization and Workshop Digest

We had an Aleppo Reorganization and Workshop Meeting on Monday night, January 3, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

** This meeting served as both the Reorganization Meeting and the Workshop Meeting – there will not be a Workshop Meeting tonight. **

Here is what happened:

  • The first draft of the revised Zoning Ordinance will be presented at the Legislative Meeting on January 17, 2022. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Ordinance

Here is what happened:

  • The 2022 Real Estate Tax Rate Ordinance and Budget Ordinance were adopted.  There will be no Real Estate Tax increase in Aleppo for 2022 – the millage rate will stay at 3.5 mills.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Sergeant Beck of the Ohio Township Police Department gave the monthly police report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Tim Scott gave the Public Works report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Commissioner Richert explained the policy regarding reading emails at Township Meetings.  If you would like an email to be read at a meeting, please send the email to Township Manager Gwen Patterson (aleppomgr@aleppotownship.com) and specify in the email that you would like it to be read at the meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
  • Tax Collector/Treasurer Clayton Steup gave the reports for the month of November 2021. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).
