The Workshop Meeting originally scheduled for October 9, 2023 has been CANCELLED. The next meeting will be the Legislative Meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 7:00 PM.

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, September 18, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- A Public Hearing was held for the revised Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance. The Ordinance was adopted by the Board. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicHearing #SALDO
- A summary of the August police calls was presented. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
- Chief Bill Davis Jr. of the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company presented a summary of the 2022 fire calls and discussed some of the issues that volunteer fire companies are facing. ** The Aleppo Fire Company Open House will be this Saturday, October 7, from 11 AM – 3 PM at the fire station located at 131 Weber Road. - Commissioner Haluka is exploring offering a CPR training class that would be open to the community. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #EmergencyManagement
- A summary of the Public Works activity for the month was presented. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks
- The 2023 Paving Project is partially complete, with some follow-up work still to be completed. The Township Building parking lot will be repaved in the upcoming month. We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, September 11, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- The public hearing for the revised Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance will be held at the Legislative Meeting on September 18th. Commissioners will then consider and vote on the adoption of the ordinance. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SALDO #PublicHearing
- The roadway portions of the 2023 Paving Project are mostly complete. The Township Building parking lot will be repaved sometime this fall. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PavingProject
- Some Township meetings will be held at offsite locations this fall – the October 16, 2023 Legislative Meeting will be held at Masonic Village and the November 20, 2023 Legislative Meeting will be held at the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Station. Here is what happened:
- Police Chief Joseph Hanny gave the report for the month of July, and President Jones explained that we are still working to develop an enforcement strategy for the issue of tractor trailers on Redgate Road. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police #TrucksUsingRedgateRoad
- The Board entered into a 3 year contract with Allegheny County to provide winter maintenance services on County-owned roads within the Township. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #AlleghenyCounty #SnowRemoval

- General Election Location Update: Aleppo Township Judge of Elections Shirley Hasson explained that Allegheny County is planning to move the voting location for Aleppo Township from the Township Building to the North Way Christian Community Church at 200 Deer Run Road. North Way is located down the hill from the Township Building. All registered voters should be receiving notice in the mail from Allegheny County announcing this change. Here is what happened:
- The Commissioners adopted the Resolution Adopting the 2022 Amendment to the Act 537 Sewer Plan and approved submitting the revised plan to the DEP for approval. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Resolution #Sewer #DEP

- The Commissioners approved an agreement with Cargill, Inc. for road salt for the upcoming winter season at a price of $88.96/ton. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #RoadSalt
