We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, December 16, 2024, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- Chief Hanny gave the Police Report for the month of November 2024 (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
- Public Works Supervisor Tim Scott gave the Public Works report for the month of November 2024 (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks
- A resident’s concern about how the Township would respond if there was a forest fire near the Manor was addressed (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TheManor

- The financial reports for month ending November 30, 2024 were provided to the Board (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TaxCollector
- The Board approved the bill list for November 2024 and the Ordinances setting the 2025 Real Estate Tax Rate (there will not be a Township Real Estate Tax rate increase – the millage rate of 3.5 will stay the same) and adopting the 2025 Budget (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #MonthlyBills #RealEstateTaxRate #Budget
- The Aleppo Township Authority’s budget does not propose a rate increase in 2025, and an update on the Deer Run Pump Station project was provided (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #AleppoTownshipAuthority
- Glenn Baggley was re-appointed to the Authority Board, Ronald Lawrence was re-appointed to the Zoning Hearing Board, and Sally Shipley was re-appointed to chair the Vacancy Board (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Reappointments

Here is what happened:
- Ordinances setting the 2025 Real Estate Tax Rate and adopting the 2025 Budget will be on the agenda for adoption at the December Legislative Meeting. There is no proposed real estate tax increase in the 2025 budget (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #RealEstateTaxRate #Budget
- The Christmas Tree Recycling event will be on Monday, January 6, 2025. Residents should have their undecorated trees to the curb by 8:00 a.m. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #ChristmasTreeRecycling
- The Township is participating in a Holiday Light Recycling Program sponsored by Michael Brothers. Residents can drop off old string lights at the Municipal Building (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #HolidayLightRecyclingProgram
- Several Board and Commission terms are ending as of December 31, 2024, and most of the sitting members have expressed an interest in being re-appointed. - The 2023 Paving Project is mostly completed for the season. The Township Building parking lot will be repaved in the spring.
