We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, April 15, 2024, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • Chief Hanny gave the Police Report for the month of March 2024, and reminded residents that people soliciting door-to-door need to have a permit issued by the police (click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
  • Public Works Supervisor Tim Scott gave the Public Works report (click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks
  • Solicitor Stone is finalizing the new fire service contract between the Township and the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company (click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #FireServicesContract
  • Residents were invited to participate in Aleppo’s Earth Day Roadside Cleanup on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Municipal Building (click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #EarthDay
  • The Board approved a $250.00 donation to the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company for their annual fund drive (click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Donation #FireCompany

We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, April 8, 2024, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • The Board considered a proposal from the Township’s engineers for the proposed 2024 Tar and Chip Paving Project. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TarAndChipping
  • President Jones and Vice President Williams gave a recap of the sessions they attended at the ALOM Spring Conference. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #ALOMConference
  • The Sewickley Memorial Day Celebration is coming soon, and the organizers have asked all Quaker Valley residents to consider making a donation towards the event. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SewickleyMemorialDayCelebration

The Workshop Meeting originally scheduled for October 9, 2023 has been CANCELLED. The next meeting will be the Legislative Meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 7:00 PM.

The October 16th meeting will be held at Masonic Village.  Please see the Latest News tab on our website for directions to Masonic.

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, September 18, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • A Public Hearing was held for the revised Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance.  The Ordinance was adopted by the Board. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicHearing #SALDO
  • A summary of the August police calls was presented. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
  • Chief Bill Davis Jr. of the Aleppo Township Volunteer Fire Company presented a summary of the 2022 fire calls and discussed some of the issues that volunteer fire companies are facing. ** The Aleppo Fire Company Open House will be this Saturday, October 7, from 11 AM – 3 PM at the fire station located at 131 Weber Road.  Stop by to see the trucks, get fire safety information, and have some food! ** (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #FireCompany
  • Commissioner Haluka is exploring offering a CPR training class that would be open to the community. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #EmergencyManagement

  • The 2023 Paving Project is partially complete, with some follow-up work still to be completed.  The Township Building parking lot will be repaved in the upcoming month.   • The Tax Collector/Treasurer report was presented, and the monthly bills were approved. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TaxCollector

We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, September 11, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • The public hearing for the revised Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance will be held at the Legislative Meeting on September 18th. Commissioners will then consider and vote on the adoption of the ordinance. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SALDO #PublicHearing
