We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Tuesday night, May 16, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- Chief Hanny gave the police report for the month of April. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
- Public Works Supervisor Tim Scott gave his monthly report. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks
- Some updates on the new Zoning Ordinance were given, including the date of the upcoming public hearing (June 20, 2022 at 7:00 PM) and that property owners with parcels that will be changing zoning districts will receive letters from the Township notifying them of the change. - The Quaker Valley COG is installing a second glass recycling bin in Avalon Borough at 629 New Brighton Road. Both this glass bin and the glass bin in Sewickley are open to all Aleppo residents. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #QuakerValleyCOG #GlassRecycling
- The Township is awaiting the follow-up letter from the Sewickley Heights Manor Board regarding their requests for Sewickley Heights Drive parking regulations and the request to have some control over the surface of the islands in the roadway. - The Act 537 Plan Amendment has been submitted to the DEP. The submission updates the Township’s official sewage facilities plan to reflect the township-wide sewer project that was constructed in 2012-2013. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #DEP #Sewage

Here is what happened:

- The Quaker Valley COG Hard to Recycle Event Hosted by the Pennsylvania Resources Council will return to Quaker Valley High School this year. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). Updated information: there will be two separate events this year – one for Household Chemicals and one for Hard to Recycle items. We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, February 14, 2022, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

The Aleppo Township Board of Commissioners will be meeting in person tonight in the Township building for their August 17, 2020 Legislative Meeting. However, to ensure proper social distancing, we will be limiting the number of people in the room at one time. Anyone attending the meeting must wear a face mask. We encourage residents to submit their comments in advance of the meeting when possible.

Glass Recycling: the traveling Glass Recycling Bin will be in the area for a few more days. The bin is in the lower lot at Quaker Valley High School through Thursday August 13th. Click here for more information.

- The Commissioners voted to contribute $400,000 from the sewer bond account toward the upcoming refinancing of the 2015 sewer bonds. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #SewerBonds
