We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, April 17, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

- State Representative Valerie Gaydos attended the meeting to congratulate Aleppo Township on being awarded the Governor’s Award for Local Government Excellence. The Township won the award for this meeting digest system – we were recognized for the way we stream and record the meetings, send out digests following the meeting, and categorize the discussions using hashtags on our website so that topics are searchable by keyword. - Solicitor Anna Jewart reported that Emergency Management Coordinators can serve multiple communities by following state approval guidelines and that Solicitor Stone is working on the Resolution governing certain financial notification policies between the Township and the Authority. - The 2023 Earth Day Roadside Cleanup Event will be held on Saturday April 22, 2023. We will meet at the Township Building at 9:00 AM for donuts and coffee before heading out to clean up some trash. All are welcome! (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #EarthDay

Here is what happened:
- Ohio Township Police Chief Hanny gave the police report for the month of October. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
- The Board approved a proposal from HRG Engineers to update the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance at a cost of $14,160. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #HRG #SALDO
- Tax Collector/Treasurer Clayton Steup summarized the reports for the month of October, and he presented an overview of the finances for 2022 and a look forward at 2023. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TaxCollector
