We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, September 20, 2021, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- The Commissioners approved sending the Draft of the Amended Service Agreement for Sewage Treatment Services to Sewickley Borough for their review, comment, and approval. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Sewage

Here is what happened:
- The Board learned about the Refuse and Recycling Contract Bid Results. This contract is on the agenda for a vote at the September Legislative meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Trash #Recycling

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, May 17, 2021 and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:
- Chief Joseph Hanny gave the Police Report, and the Commissioners approved a new three year contract for police protection services with the Ohio Township Police Department. The cost for the first year is $110,490. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
- The Board approved two proposals during the Public Works section of the meeting — they authorized the Township Engineers to investigate road bonding and weight limits on several roads in the Weber Road neighborhood, and they approved the purchase of a new aluminum bed for one of the Township’s dump trucks. Here is what happened:
- The Commissioners approved two Resolutions: they approved the destruction of certain old records as permitted by the Municipal Records Manual, and they adopted a procedure for the sale of Surplus Personal Property (property means old office and/or public works equipment, not real estate property.) - Aleppo Township adopted the Allegheny County 2020 Hazard Mitigation Plan. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #AlleghenyCounty

- Planning and Zoning: the Commissioners approved the Mygrant Development Plan for Parcel B in the 79 North Industrial Park for a new warehouse building to be constructed along Deer Run Road; they approved the DEP Resolution for New Land Development for the same proposed building; and they approved an addendum to the Developer’s Agreement between the Township and Alderman Holdings Deer Run Road LLC regarding the parking modifications that were recently approved. - The Commissioners voted to approve a stipend increase for the position of Tax Collector/Treasurer. This stipend will increase to $3,145 per year to match the Commissioner salary increase, and will take effect following the next election.
