Hello Aleppo Residents and Friends –

We had an Aleppo Workshop Meeting on Monday night, June 12, 2023, and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • The Commissioners will fill the vacancy on the Planning Commission at next week’s Legislative Meeting. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PlanningCommission #Vacancy
  • The 2023 Paving Project is moving forward.  The tentative schedule is for the tar and chip to take place during the summer months (McCoy, South McCoy, and the Weber Road neighborhood), the paving of the Sewickley Ridge neighborhood to take place around September, and the reconstruction of the Township Building parking lot to take place in the fall.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting).  We learned today that some roadway repairs on McCoy Place Road will take place tomorrow (Saturday June 17th.)  The paving contractors are delivering flyers to each house on McCoy and South McCoy notifying them of the impending work tomorrow. #PavingProject #McCoyPlaceRoad #SouthMcCoyPlaceRoad #WeberRoad
  • The Commissioners discussed a proposed Addendum to the road salt contract with Cargill providing an extension of time for the required amount of salt to be purchased for the 2022-2023 winter season. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #RoadSalt #Cargill

We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting on Monday night, May 17, 2021 and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here is what happened:

  • Chief Joseph Hanny gave the Police Report, and the Commissioners approved a new three year contract for police protection services with the Ohio Township Police Department.  The cost for the first year is $110,490. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #Police
  • The Board approved two proposals during the Public Works section of the meeting — they authorized the Township Engineers to investigate road bonding and weight limits on several roads in the Weber Road neighborhood, and they approved the purchase of a new aluminum bed for one of the Township’s dump trucks. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #PublicWorks #WeightLimitRoadBonding #WeberRoad #DumpTruck
  • Tax Collector/Treasurer Clayton Steup gave the report for the month of April 2021. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #TaxCollector

Here is what happened:

  • The Board voted to participate in a traveling Glass Recycling program for 2021. (Details regarding dates and locations have yet to be determined.) (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #GlassRecycling
  • A revised Retainer Agreement with HRG Engineers will be approved at the March Legislative meeting.  (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting). #HRG
  • Watchword Partners has submitted a subdivision plan to subdivide one lot at the municipal boundary of Aleppo and Glen Osborne.
