Hi, Neighbors. We had an Aleppo Legislative Meeting last week and I wanted to tell you what happened.

Here’s what happened:
- Our police chief gave us a report of police activity in the township, including the investigation of several thefts and individuals who were cited for not obtaining proper soliciting permits. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #Police

- I reported on the activities of the Quaker Valley Council of Governments, including its Project Ideation initiative, its most recent hard to recycle event, and plans for its annual dinner in October. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #QuakerValleyCOG

- We had a robust conversation about Executive Sessions: when we can use them and what process must be taken when we go into them. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #ExecutiveSessions
- We continued our discussion about an ongoing complaint of a property on Leetwood Avenue. Specifically, we heard that the property has passed its electrical inspection and that a home inspector is expected to give a report in the future. We also heard that the property in question is not connected to the sewer system and voted (4-0) to initiate the process of requiring connection to the sewer system. - Our solicitor told us that he had a conversation with Sewickley’s solicitor about its property on Glen Mitchell Road and is waiting to hear back. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #GlenMitchellRoad
- We heard that the tire pile on the private lot on Glen Mitchell Road has gotten smaller and that the police department will continue to encourage good progress in cleaning up the lot. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #GlenMitchellRoad
- Our solicitor told us what he thought about the proposed contract with Laserfiche concerning electronic document management. We concluded this conversation by agreeing to have our manager contact our insurance carrier to find out if we are covered for losses that may arise under this contract. - We voted (4-0) to adopt an ordinance concerning our non-uniformed pension plan. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #NonUniformPension
- We discussed a request by a resident to purchase a portion of the our proposed park property and took no action concerning this request. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #Park

- With respect to the ongoing property complaint on Weber Road, we heard that there was a citation filed and the police department will be following up with the magistrate if there is no response. (Click here to watch this portion of the meeting.) #WeberRoad
